Tesla Calls Back Cybertruck Due to Faults in Production

Surprisingly, Tesla, the biggest company that makes electric cars, has decided to return its much-anticipated Cybertruck because it was poorly made.

There are 3,878 Cybertrucks that are being recalled. They were all made between November 13, 2023, and April 4, 2024. There is a problem with the car that can make it speed up without the driver meaning to, which raises the risk of an accident.

On March 31, a customer complained about the problem. On April 3, another customer complained about it again. On April 12, Tesla chose to issue a recall⁴ after a number of tests. It was “residual lubricant (soap)” that had been used to put the rubber pad on during the making process that caused the problem.

When the flaw happens in the accelerator pedal, the pad could come loose, trapping the pedal in the trim above it. This could cause the car to speed up on its own, which is very dangerous .

Tesla has promised its users that it will repair or fix the clutch button part for no extra cost. The problem is already being fixed on cars that are being made or at delivery centers‹.

Unfortunately, this recall comes at a bad time for Tesla, which just fired 10% of its staff after poor results. Even with these hurdles, Tesla is still determined to quickly fix the problem and make sure its customers are safe .

Finally, the recall is bad news for Tesla, but it also shows how much the company cares about safety and quality. It’s clear that Tesla is not ready to put its customers’ safety at risk as it continues to come up with new ideas and push the limits of electric car technology.
