Intel, a global tech giant, just recently showed off its next-generation chip, called Lunar Lake. This is a big step forward in the history of computer technology ⁽.
Lunar Lake is the latest innovation in this area and is the result of Intel’s ongoing investment in custom silicon. It will be offered to customers later this year and has the best speed and energy savings in its class.
Intel’s Lunar Lake processors blend its skill in silicon with its state-of-the-art manufacturing process. If you use them, your instances will run up to 30% faster than the fastest general-purpose computers on the market right now²²³. They are also up to 50% faster and up to 60% more energy efficient than similar processors from the current generation†.
Intel has already begun putting services on chips from the current generation†. More services like these are going to be added to and built up on Lunar Lake soon.
Intel’s advanced production method is used to make Lunar Lake. It makes a huge difference in how fast web and app servers, containerized apps, open-source databases, in-memory caches, data analytics engines, video processing, CPU-based AI training and inference, and other tasks can do their jobs.
