Gigabyte has released a new processor that can handle graphics cards that weigh up to 128 pounds². This is a big deal in the tech world.
The B650E Aorus Pro X USB4 Has Arrived
The new motherboard from Gigabyte is a high-end one and is called the B650E Aorus Pro X USB4. AMD’s next-generation Ryzen Zen 5 processors² can be used with this system.
The PCIe UD Slot X That Is Stronger
The main expansion spot on the B650E Aorus Pro X USB4 is one of its best features; it can hold graphics cards up to 128 pounds². This slot is called the PCIe UD Slot X by Gigabyte. The slot doesn’t look very different from slots on boards that are already on the market, which usually have metal support and stronger soldering².
The backplate gives you extra support
If you look around the back of the board, you’ll see a small backplate that’s attached with four screws². This is more than Gigabyte does. Your graphics card won’t be able to take out the PCIe slot² if you use this board.
What’s Next for Gigabyte’s Motherboards
Even though the PCIe UD Slot X feature isn’t new, this is the first time we’ve been told exactly how much weight it can hold². One trend we’ve seen is that graphics cards are getting bigger and need more power². One great example is the change from the GeForce RTX 30 series (Ampere) to the GeForce RTX 40 series (Ada Lovelace)².
This news shows how useful Gigabyte’s next-generation processors could be. Stay tuned for more news about this exciting event.
