Intel’s long-awaited Battlemage GPUs have been seen in shipping records, which is very exciting. Even though they aren’t ready for customers yet, these GPUs are moving through the process, which is a sign that Intel’s graphics work is progressing.
Momomo_us, a Battlemage Arrival hardware leaker, recently shared shipping information that shows two Battlemage GPUs that are in the “Pre QS” (pre-qualification sample) stage of development. Pre-production shipping information doesn’t usually make people look twice, but Intel’s planned events suggest that something important is going to happen.
Coming Up: Intel’s Keynotes
Intel will give a major speech at Intel Vision in Arizona in just one week. After that, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger will speak at Computex in Taipei in June. These events give Intel a lot of chances to talk about its Battlemage GPUs and show off what they can do.
What We Know Right Now
Intel revealed earlier this year that its graphics team had moved on to “the next thing,” with about 30% of workers working on Battlemage software. It has been leaked that the Battlemage GPUs are almost done with their tests, which means they will be available later this year.
Leaked Flagship Specs and Rumors In the past, RedGamingTech gave the impression that Intel would talk about the top Battlemage GPU between April and June. This is what we expect:
64 Xe Cores: The top-of-the-line card should have 64 Xe cores, which is twice as many as the Arc A770.
4nm Node from TSMC: Intel may use TSMC’s advanced 4nm transistor process.
Similar to Nvidia’s AD103: The die size is said to be like Nvidia’s RTX 4080 Super.
Over a Year and a Half in the Making Intel’s first-generation Arc graphics cards had some speed problems at first, but regular driver patches have made them into affordable gaming choices. Intel wants to go up against competitors head-on with Battlemage. The company is aware of the problems it has had in the past and looks like it will make a great comeback.
The countdown starts
As more leaks come to light, we’re getting close to a turning point. Intel’s Battlemage GPUs are about to get a lot of attention, and gamers all over the world can’t wait to see how they perform in scores and in real life.
